Chassis number B248CU - this S2 Series C example left the factory on December 19th 1960 and is presented in Midnight Blue over Shell Grey and was purchased new through "Rippon Bros Ltd" Coachbuilders and Motor Dealers, from Sub Retailers "Hoffmans of Halifax" by Aberford Gravels Ltd of West Yorkshire and delivered on January 3rd 1961. Special features listed when supplied included Electric Front Windows, Split Bench type Front Seat, Horn Muting Switch, "GB" Plate and Badge Bar. The car has in recent years between 2004 and 2015 been in the hands of a Surrey based Wedding Car Company and latterly used for filming by the BBC in the Cairngorm National Park, luxury Chauffeur drives and weddings around the Scottish Highlands. The S2 was initially introduced during October 1959 and remained in production until 1962 by which time 1863 examples had been produced. The car featured the then new Rolls Royce "L Series V8 engine" with improved Air Conditioning, Power Steering was also standard, and a new Dashboard and Steering Wheel. Presented with a good recent history file available within of library for customer inspection.
