This Daimler SP250 is a 1963 “C” specification car and is finished in its original colour of metallic Mountain Blue. It has a new soft top and cover, and a tonneau cover, all in dark blue, and also an original factory supplied hard top. The car has the original grey leather interior with blue trim and has a Heritage Certificate issued by Jaguar Heritage.
The car looks stunning and drives beautifully.
The car was manufactured on 18 April 1963 and is therefore one of the last right-hand drive Darts made. It was first registered on 1 May 1963 and I bought it in May 2013 from the estate of the second owner, who had the vehicle for some 40 years. The car’s mileage is approximately 73,000 since new. When not in use, the car has been kept for the last 5 years in an Airchamber.
Full details of all the work done on the car since its acquisition in 2013 are available, including the stripping down of the body including doors, bonnet and boot lid, and respraying in the car’s original colour by Iliffe Body Centre, specialists in spraying fibre glass, and the replacement of the original sill beams.
This is a beautiful example of what are becoming very rare cars, particularly in original right-hand drive configuration.
