Coys At Chiswick House 2019
Lot Number 208
Chassis Number 340601078
The post war Rover was launched in 1949 and became one of the most readily recognised and fondly remembered cars of the time, the stately P4 with its column gearshift and 'gentlemen's club' interior would prove an immense success for the Solihull firm, remaining in production until 1964. These cars are very much part of British culture and became known as the 'Auntie' Rovers. They were driven by royalty including Grace Kelly. Fitted with the more desirable 6 cylinder 2.1 litre engine, unlike the Rover 60 which was equipped with a 4 cylinder 2 litre, this particular Rover 75 is offered in good all-round condition throughout and is supplied with a history file containing documents that include a previous registration document alongside a bill of sale.
