Having recently bought a TR5, I am now selling (or swapping) this LHD overdrive TR4.
I would consider swapping for another TR model in similar condition that would complement my TR5.
This TR4 is a late example manufactured 14th December 1964, one of the last 200 before the 4A was introduced. It was dispatched to San Francisco in the USA on 21st December 1964 and returned from Arizona, having been kept in a dry state. It has since had a complete nut and bolt restoration finished in June 2014 to a very high standard. It is fully restored in the beautiful Wedgwood Blue, with new Midnight Blue leather seating with white piping and a totally new matching interior.
Since the full restoration, the car has driven just 5k km!!
The car and chassis were stripped down and the chassis restored with all refurbished suspension parts.
The gearbox and overdrive were professionally refurbished.
The engine was rebuilt with new liners, pistons, the crank polished and new bearings fitted. The head was skimmed and new exhaust valves fitted. New high torque starter motor.
All body panels removed, restored and resprayed and the engine bay is fully detailed.
External chrome renewed. The hood is blue mohair.
Tyres and wheels were new with minilite style wheels and a spare fitted in the boot.
The car has won Best TR and Best Car in the TSSC show 2014 and best TR at the Wessex TR Register in the same year.
Currently located and registered in Stockholm and fully compliant with the strict emission laws. This car could be driven home!
Photographic history of the restoration available with the car. Many more photos available on request.
In absolutely stunning condition, very reliable and great fun to drive.
