This is my precious Popsicle Puprle FIzzy.
Exactly the same as the one I had back in 1978.
I’ve had it since 2002 and gave it a nut & bolt restoration in 2009.
It’s a matching numbers example.
Original plastic domed key fits ignition and steering lock.
Engine was completely rebuilt by Mark of Racoon Racing where he gave it a 60cc upgrade which I felt justified to haul my rather-heavier-than-when-I-was-sixteen bulk around! It runs beautifully. Starts first time and sounds spot on.
It’s covered about 200miles since the rebuild I’m guessing as it’s hardly been used. That’s the reason it’s now for sale. I’ve got too many toys and space has become an issue (living in London) otherwise I’d keep it forever - so yeah: bit of a heartbreaker to sell it.
I’ve tried to keep as many original parts as possible but inevitably I had to use some pattern ones, but the patina and look of it still looks good.
Anyone who knows these little gems will be able to see the work that’s been done - but every single part has been addressed.
OK, so it’s not a 100 point concors show winner (go on, find one!), and has one or two nicks and blemishes but it’s a cracking example at a sensible price.
The pedal mechanism works OK
The V5 is in my name.
Viewing is welcomed - I’m in Lewisham, South East London (SE135PZ) and happy to answer any questions.
