1970 Bristol beats Mercedes? For Sale

SOLD SOLD SOLD Imagine, these 3 things come together: 1. A project car of a very British classic, a Bristol 2. A German restoration company striving for absolute perfection 3. A crazy individual willing to pay for all this. What do you get? Perhaps the very best Bristol 411 sr1 on this planet! Yes, this car has been restored and improved by money, skill and taste. I am that crazy individual. So I know. Thousands of hours and a lot of cash and devotion went into a 5 year restoration at Retzlaff Automotive near Berlin, the restorer of my choice, where the owner Marco Retzlaff did most of the work himself. This RHD, matching numbers car is perfect from top to bottom, from front to rear, everything is new or as new. Improved in comfort, power, road manners, safety and beauty. Porsche 1970 full colour Slate exterior, Bentley Porpoise (grey-ish) leather and carpets inside. Nearly 400 HP with MSD fuel injection, handmade SS exhaust system with catalyst (!), aluminium cylinder heads. Custom made 3 part aluminium wheels 16x7, which look just like the standard steel ones. Modern Painless electrics, I could go on and on. There is a list of all work done, hundreds of pictures (and, uh, invoices;)) and even a 96 page photo book about the rescue of this fantastic British Automotive product, which is so capable and modest at the same time. And even though much of the money invested will be blown away, this Bristol is rather expensive. But we all are aware: You get what you pay for! And you save some 50k GBP from building this car as it now is. Futhermore this car is: So rare, it turns an Aston DB6 into a mass production vehicle. So comfortable for “4 gentlemen with their golf equipment” So fast as a 4 seater, it even beat the Mercedes 300 6,3. I sadly have to reduce my collection and sell some cars. One of them is a car, that is “understated but not underrated”: my better than new Bristol 411 sr 1. 30 (thirty!) mls since restoration. A very well mannered car, in a quality that could well impress Mercedes.
