The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Roadster (W 113) was built between 1967 and 1971 in a total of 23.885 units. Compared to the 230 SL, it already has 4 disc brakes and a seven-bearing crankshaft.
This Mercedes 280 SL Roadster was delivered to its first owners - Mr. and Mrs. White in Oregon - in August 1971. The further owners in the US and the service history are well documented by various papers at hand.
2007 the car was brought back to Germany with an almost untouched body and extensively reconditioned by a Hamburg based company specialized in classic Mercedes automobiles. Apart from mechanical work the car got a professional repaint in its original colour. The leather interior, parts of the bright work und woodwork were renewed and the rear axle changed to a longer differential ratio. This 280 SL is with one careful owner since 2008 and was serviced regularly by specialists.
