Fitted with 2.6 litre straight six, Ford Zodiac engine and triple SU carburettors, Scimitar GTs have a lovely throaty note from their exhausts and plenty of power for local road exburence or longer distance touring.
This SE4a had a full body-off restoration by Scimitar Services of Swadlincote in 1996 at a cost exceeding £10,000. It has been used and cared for since then and remains in fine order throughout with excellent bodywork, a superb interior, a detailed engine bay and an extensive history file with MOTs and invoices back to 1993. Also included are brochures, road test reports and the original Owner's Handbook.
It is believed that the Scimitar has covered only 60,000 miles since new.
The specification includes a four speed gearbox with overdrive, a stainless steel exhaust, an electric engine fan, an electric sunroof, wire wheels, seat belts, AVO shock absorbers fitted to the rear.
Only 296 of the SE4a model were produced and this pretty example must be one of the nicest left.
One of only 120 left on the road this example has been carefully dry stored for many years but due to ill health this project was never finished. Complete and only needs putting back together, some engine work and a light recommision.
