This beautiful example ticks all the right boxes for Classic Car ownership.
Great to drive, the best colour combination, easy spares availability, plus quintessential British charm and elegance.
She's absolutely sound underneath as you would expect following restoration.
Best of all, with all the recent renovations, she's ready for you to jump in and tootle off to those Classic Car events.
The fuel tank has been chemically cleaned & treated then lined with POR15 sealant, so no fuel line problems.
The engine has just been fully reconditioned including rebore, new pistons, crank grind, new camshaft & cam followers,
flywheel ring gear, valve guides, updated con-rod bolt set, new clutch, core plugs, modern thermostat conversion
PLUS a Peter Edney rear main crank seal conversion to stop those annoying oil drips which all TD's have.
The head now has hardened valve seats so happy to run Unleaded fuel. Obviously oil pressure is perfect at 55psi hot.
The engine recon was completed in March this year with a receipt for £3828.91.
Fully reconditioned carburettors with plated linkages have also been fitted, including a heat shield and manifold insulators.
Extras include a stainless steel luggage rack, custom double-duck half tonneau, wind deflectors and side mirrors, plus a passenger grab handle.
This TD comes complete with jack, starting handle, fitted hood and side screens. She also has a stainless steel exhaust.
Included with the car are two Period Lucas fog/spot lamps with chrome badge bar brackets.
Also included are an original factory workshop manual in a custom made aluminium folder in super condition,
the MG T Series Restoration Guide book by Malcolm Green,
plus, hardback book The Original MG T Series by Anders Ditlev Clausager in lovely condition.
I have enjoyed owning this TD but have now purchased an MGA and I can't keep both.
Colour, condition and extras, plus a newly rebuilt engine make this an above average car and very desirable.
