Austin 7 1933 PD Tourer SOLD

Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad
Made November 1933 first registered March 1934 Austin 7 PD Tourer. I bought this in 2008 and have done some 5,000 miles in it since. It is not concours, but sound and quite reliable as any 85 year old Austin 7 will be. It was white when I bought it, resprayed a BMW red (tribute to BMW Dixi perhaps) and it is very drivable very tidy and robust with good tyres and battery and fun to own and drive. It has been re-carpeted and the hood is fair to good and complete with (rarely used) side-screens.

As with so many £10 Austin 7's in the 1950's and 1960's it was kept alive probably as a first car of a teenage owner who 'restored' it - the legacy here is the speedometer which is from a Ford, but at least accurate and readable. It is certainly a second engine (still the nicer 2 bearing crank model) with the valves enlarged and a 4 speed gearbox so it is better than some for acceleration and top speed maintainable at 45 on the flat.

Due to accident damage - me not the car - it is time for it to have a new owner. Note -all I have gathered about this vehicle including books, tools and some spares is included in the sale price.
