1973 BMW 3.0CSL Batmobile 1st series For Sale

The extremely rare 3.0CSL got the legendary nickname “Batmobile” from the numerous wings and spoilers on the car designed to improve the Aerodynamic flows.This CSL, Coupe Sport Lightweight with a weight saving of around 200 kgs from the standard car was one of just 167 ‘Batmobiles’ built. The BMW build sheet certificate says that chassis 2275496 was completed on 12th September 1973, finished in the classics Chamonix White. On 26th September 1973, it was delivered to the BMW Niederlassung in Hamburg Germany. soon after it was registered for road use by its first private owner, registration paper 47244303. it was staying there until 1978. The Batmobile was then sold to Japan, and it has been stayed it’s all life in Japan until today. the car absolutely unmodified and in exactly the condition and spec it was delivered by the factory back in 1973. reputedly received a complete service in BMW Japan by a previous owner. this particular example was displayed at 100 Anniversary exhibition at Miyagi prefecture by BMW Japan in 2016.a wonderfully enticing and refreshingly original feel and appearance, the Original Batmobile does not appear to have led too hard a life. Still wearing its original aerodynamics package and beautiful interior with remarkably comfortable black bucket seats. It also is still fitted with its original numbers matching engine.
