Hello, for sale is my 1990 Jaguar XJ40 with 77300 miles on it. Recently undergone a full service at a jaguar specialist and also had the cylinder head re sealed as it was leaking oil. A lovely almost rust free example with a very clean interior with electric seats (fully working) sheepwool rugs in the back and orginal in car phone (not working) some scuffing on the drivers side seat bolster but other than that the seat are very clean. All the in car electrics work as should including the onboard computer with working cruise control. The car also has a modern stereo with cd bluetooth usb and aux connectivity and complete orginial tool kit with original touch up paints. It also has a full set of keys with working remote central locking fob.
Exterior wise the car is very clean i have notice their is some rust on the inside of the bonnet by the grill and some slight discolouration but not rust at the bottom of one of the wheel archs. Their is also a couple of very tiny paint chips hear an their but nothing noticable, it also has a set of lovely jaguar lattice wheels on with realativly new tyres that have loads of tread remaining.
Mechanically the car is very stong the the gearbox is very good and selects properly and the engine pulls very well and sounds nice.
The car does come with a service book/ history but unfortunatly the paper work is rather lacking i do have the bills and recipts of all the recent work and some of the ealier stuff and as stated earlier the car has just been serviced and has an MOT til december 19 (no advisories)
The only bad pointsare the previously mention rust spot along with the horn that seems to only work sometime and the front passenger headlight that seems to have condesation in it not sure if its just a small crack or if it need replacing. Also while in the garage they said that the passenger side indicator was on its was out but havent got around to findng a replacement bulb.
Prce is £3000 offers considered
i have only decided to sell the car as i will soon have to be doing a lot more miles and its not fair to use it for this as it is in such lovely condition. Ive tried to be as honest as possible but if i have missed something out or you would like any pictures of something please dont hesitate to email or text/ring me for more information many thanks Andrew
