For Sale is this Scarce / First Year 1989 Super Ten.
Model History - Introduced for the 1989 model year, Yamahas big adventure bike soon won many fans. Featuring a smooth, economical 750cc 72 bhp twin engine, 5 speed gear box, long travel suspension, triple disc brakes, a comfy saddle and a good riding position, lighter, cheaper and faster than the Honda XLV750 Africa Twin, these bikes in modified form went on to win the prestigious Paris - Dakar race 9 times. Fitted with its 89 only scarce yellow fork gaiters and disc guards, the tires are Metzler Tourances, which suit these bikes really well. First year only black wheel rims, all 3 brake Callipers have been rebuilt with OE Yamaha Piston and sealkits with fresh brake fluid.
New Wurth fork springs and fork oil, new head races, swing arm and suspension linkages stripped and re greased, new power bronze taller screen, new Oxford heated grips, new power point, new battery, fresh engine oil and filter.
