2008 Bugatti Veyron, No. 142 of just 450 cars produced, stunning! For Sale

Black with Bleu de France | Coupé | 7 Speed Direct Shift Automatic | 8.0 litre V8 Quad-Turbocharged W16-Cylinder | 15,938 kms | AU$2,700,000 plus Local Charges “It causes low-grade dementia, motor disturbances, erratic behaviour, and incontinence. It is as politically incorrect as a Boeing business jet. Apart from Bordeaux, Bardot, and some tasty snails, it may be the best thing ever to come from France.” – Car and Driver December 2008 It was in 1998 that the Volkswagen Auto Group acquired Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. to succeed the iconic EB 110. Multiple new concept cars was released and in the year 2000, the Bugatti Veyron was announced to the world. In the name of Ettore Bugatti, Volkswagen AG’s goal was to develop the fastest road production car. It all began in 2001 with the first roadworthy prototype completed in 2003 and due to some more development required the first car wasn’t released until late 2005 spanning the project over the course of nearly 8 years. Upon its release however, it was praised the most anticipated and ground-breaking car of the 21st century… a “Concord” moment, something that will forever remain in history as the most mind-numbing car ever produced. Let’s begin with some numbers… 16 cylinders, 8.0 litre capacity, four turbochargers, 10 radiators, 1001 horsepower and a top speed of 407 kilometres per hour. They actually released a prototype with 18 cylinders at first, but must of thought “that’s a little excessive”. The Veyron is tied to the road by special Michelin PAX run-flat tyres, designed specifically to accommodate the Veyron's top speed. The transmission is a dual-clutch direct-shift computer-controlled automatic transmission having seven gear ratios with magnesium paddles behind the steering wheel which delivers the 1001 horses developed by the W16 powerplant to a permanent all-wheel drive system using the Haldex Traction system. Now to stop you going 407 km/h Bugatti have supplied cross drilled, radially vented carbon fibre reinforced silicon carbide composite discs with lightweight aluminium alloy monobloc brake calipers made by AP Racing and an airbrake claimed to provide nearly 0.7 G of braking force, which is roughly the same amount as the brakes on an ordinary passenger car. All of this technology combined Bugatti claims the Veyron will stop from its top speed to a complete halt in less than 10 seconds. One of the 450 units ever made and originally delivered to Germany we are excited to offer this 2008 Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 which was ordered in Black with Bleu de France inlets, complemented by the two-tone Cream and Nautic blue leather interior. Having travelled just 15,938 kilometres from new this Bugatti is in excellent condition, complete with a great service history documenting a recent major service which included new wheels and tyres, it’s original Bugatti handbooks and keys are also in accompaniment with the vehicle. Like the McLaren F1 and Porsche Carrera GT before it, the Veyron is its own cult. Whilst the successor the Bugatti Chiron naturally outperforms the Veyron, it will never own the accomplishments and the carry the trophies the Veyron earnt and the legacy it will leave.
