Land Rover Series 2A Lightweight Build Number 68.
Built on 18 November 1968 Chassis Number 23600068A making it one of the very earliest Lightweights built probably in the first week of production. It was despatched from Land Rover on 26 November 1968 and entered service on 3 December 1968 as 72FG48 before being issued to 45 Commando Regiment, Royal Marines on 1 Jan 1969. It was finally released from the Ministry of Defence on the 14 June 1976 and given the registration number TGS680R.
This Lightweight is a 2.25 12V Petrol model and has been looked after well since its release. It was given a new chassis in April 1996 according to a stamp on the chassis. It has its chassis number in the correct place. It was recently fitted with a set of new Exmoor seats and a new Exmoor trim canvas.
Having some patina, TGS has been used and enjoyed through its life and is in excellent condition ready to play with or show. The photos, recently taken show you what you are buying.
