1972 240Z Unmolested Example For Sale
A clean and very well maintained example of this iconic car. Spent most of its life in California so bodywork and underneath are in very good condition. Please see the picture of the underneath - now rust protected by full Drittrol treatment - more pics available of pre- and post-treatment. Imported into the UK in 2016. LHD. I am the third keeper in the UK but the first keeper was the importer who sold the vehicle to the second keeper after a couple of months so effectively two keepers. Always garaged since arriving in the UK. Red. The original colour was metallic brown. Professionally resprayed to a more attractive, in my opinion the best, 240Z colour which makes the car look pretty. Matching numbers car. MoT exempt but has an MoT till May 2020 (brake hose pipes mentioned in the Advisory section have been changed to new stainless braided ones since). I purchased the car in May 2017 @ 94500 miles, covered 2500 miles since, and the car has never given me any issues (except a couple of minor niggles - all fixed). Just completed a 4-day 800-mile round trip to Belgium and Germany without missing a beat. The car has a "creamy" L-24 straight 6 which is willing and makes a good noise. Selling it to move on to another vehicle, though not in a hurry to do so. Like many of these cars, there is one crack in the dash. It has been professionally repaired but I also have a full length top cover (which will come with the car) made in the same plastic material imported from the U.S. which in retrospect I have not used as I don't really notice it. Improvements since my acquisition (most receipts available in file): 1. Four new Panasport 15inch wheels @GBP 1,128 2. Four new Dunlop Blue Efficiency tyres @GBP 330 3. Original wood steering wheel @USD579+shipping 4. OEM wood gear knob @USD197.87 +duty+shipping 5. OEM horn button @USD134 + duty+shipping 6. Carbs rebuilt by Stuart Agar at Andrew Brodie @GBP360 7. New set of Conceptua stainless braided brake hose, clutch hose and Blue Print clutch slave cylinder @GBP125 + [email protected] 11. Gear shift lever (silver) to replace black one, various new emblems etc from the U.S. 12. Service @ 94996 and 96084 miles The K&N air filters shown in the photo came with the car.
