DBR create hand built tool-room AC Cobras in 289, 427 and Daytona Coupe configuration, built using the finest original specification parts for absolute accuracy and period correct feel. We have over 30 years expertise in creating bespoke Cobra’s at our UK based workshops and we are now taking orders for our limited production run of fully completed, turn key cars in 2020. Each of our Cobras are hand built to original factory specification, in right or left hand drive, supplied full road registered and can be supplied with full FIA HTP if required. Full specifications include:- Body: Bare brushed 1.5mm aluminium (3003 grade), hand formed over bucks using traditional tools and an English wheel Chassis: Cold drawn seamless tube (3.04mm wall thickness), jig assembled to original factory dimensions, shot blasted, etch primed & powder coated Suspension: Single (fully adjustable) lower (Front & rear) "A" arms: Tubular seamless steel construction to original drawings with bronze bushes, spherical & rod end bearings. Powder coated. Transverse leaf spring/upper control arms Uprights: To original specification. New manufactured, cnc machined Hubs: To original specification for fitment of (6) peg drive wheels with Shelby American tri-spinner centre nut Dampers: Gaz. With adjustment for damping. (period steel body dampers optional) Wheels: 15" one piece aluminium fia replica peg drive knock – on, (Magnesium optional) with Avon Tyres CR6ZZ 275/55/15 rear and 225/65/15 front . Dunlop 600/700 l15 optional Brakes : Original pattern Girling ORA & CR brake calipers with original triple remote brake & clutch reservoirs Master cylinders are dual with balance bar (none adjustable, as per original cars); original type pedals and pedal pads Steering: Original spec. Rack & pinion with Moto-Lita 15" wood rim steering wheel, split spoke as original Cooling: High performance aluminium radiator with Spal 16" fan & Mocal oil cooler with all original plumbing and stainless steel braided hoses with anodised (black) aluminium Aeroquip fittings Fuel system: Fully baffled aluminium fuel tank Exhaust system: Tubular headers and original pattern side exit pipes. Instruments: Original specification Stewart Warner, mechanical, gauges. Electrics: Original pattern loom with additional wiring to meet current lighting and instrument regulations. Original style relays and fuse box etc, with original type flick and rotary dashboard switches Trim: Leather trimmed tubular steel frame seats and leather trimmed dashboard Engine: Ford Windsor series 302/347ci (5.7L), built on a seasoned block with all new internals, Stroker crank and all new ancillaries, Edelbrock performance aluminium cylinder heads & intake manifold. Holley 4 barrel carburettor. Horsepower and torque in excess of 350/350. Original specification 289 engine on Weber carbs optional Transmission: Tremec TKO600 5 speed or 4 speed Ford ‘top loader’ and Ford T10 optional. Differential: Salisbury 4HU (4 bolt) in FIA HTP compliant cast iron case Full FIA HTP (Appendix K) preparation is optional, as is a Le Mans type aerodynamic hardtop finished in aluminium or GRP Orders now being taken for 2020 delivery; priced from £79,500 for a fully completed UK road registered car, finished in bare aluminium.
