We have in our showroom a very nice example of this fabulous model. It is the standard car with the switchable automatic gearbox. Recent bills from Gordon Needs Classic Car bodyshop for around £8000 with two new front wings and new rear wheel arches. The interior is full leather and the seats are in excellent condition. The previous owner of the BMW has maintained it well with recent mechanical attention to the tune of around £3000. This is a well presented and well sorted example and although not perfect there is nothing that needs done to the car to be a good daily user or if so desired some last bits of attention to detail and it could be one for the collector. This is a great example of this classic model. Supplied with a fresh MoT with no advisories. I drove the car just the other day and it pulls away strongly and smoothly as you could hope for and the braking is sound and true. The steering feels good and the car handles very well and draws many admiring looks on the road. The areas that a new owner could attend to fairly easily are the rear windows are slow to operate, the rear window switches in the rear centre console are missing and the operation is from the rear panel below the windows, the passenger door mirror needs a wire turned around as although it works in all directions there is an anomaly with the toggle switch, in for out/out for in/down for up/up for down. The heated rear window has about three bars that are not clearing correctly but generally the rear screen demists in good time. The radio is not original although it does work it really isn't in keeping with the rest of the car, the heating system maybe needs a bit of attention as the heating tends to be directed to feet only and it is cooled air through the centre face vents. Air conditioning appears to work well, the electronic 'check' console all appears to be operating correctly and the on board computer is also functioning and displays correctly other than the date and time. The electrically operated seats and headrests are all operating correctly as is the sliding steel sunroof. This is a good example, all the hard work has been done to a good standard and it just needs a finisher to get stuck in about the remaining few jobs. A great car to drive and enjoy, a new owner would get to know this car and I am confident that it would make a good continental GT cruiser for the person who appreciates what a fantastic car this car was when it was new and still is.
