Complete build history including photographs and invoices. Birth certificate from Stiftung AutoMeseum Volkswagen. Original registration documents and other historical paperwork. Single key profile for ignition and door locks.
Colour and paint: Turkis (bottom half) and Blauweiss (top half) with colour matched wheels, dashboard and VW Badge. Underside coated with stone chip followed by 2K gloss topcoat to match lower body. Cavity wax applied to box section sills and other prone areas.
Windows and glass: New Creative Engineering windows (painted to match) with new glazing. Pop-out side windows and safari windows at front and rear hatch. New window rubbers and door aperture seals.
Engine: Rebuilt 1776cc with new tinware (~1200 miles). Engine crankcase, full flow adapted External oil cooler and external fuel filter. Extra deep sump.
Dell’orto 36 DRLA carbs, tuned at Airey tuning.
Reconditioned Bosch starter motor.
Pertronix ignition system.
Electric fuel pump with external adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Exhaust: Vintage Speed stainless sports exhaust with side exit tailpipe, connected to stainless J-tubes.
Fully automatic engine bay fire suppression system (installed by Jim Merrin).
Front Axle: Weed Eater from Creative Engineering set at ~1” below stock ride height.
Font Suspension: All components (i.e. tie rods, drag links, king pin and link pin bushings) and all other parts renewed.
Rear Suspension: Upgraded with IRS conversion and drive shafts sourced from Porsche 944.
Brakes: Disks all round with remote, dual circuit servo.
Steering: Creative Engineering rack and pinion steering rack.
Wiring: Fully rewired with custom built loom.
Batteries and Propane: Custom built battery mount to enable engine bay to house car battery, leisure battery and propane gas. Includes gas isolation manifold and camping hook-up in engine bay.
