Yamaha XT500C 1976 Genuine Bike - Good Condition & Rides Perfectly
I am selling my very rare Yamaha XT500C genuine 1976 bike and one of the first to come to Europe - the one to have!
I am selling this XT500C as I need to reduce my motorbike collection as I just don't have the space to keep them all in our new house. I have just sold my rare and awesome Kawasaki Z1100R Eddie Lawson rep and when I have sold this XT500C I will be selling my Suzuki GSXR750RR and my genuine Ducati 916 Foggy Rep.
This XT500 starts first kick, ticks over perfectly and rides exceptionally well. I have two official letters to hand that confirm that this XT500C was manufactured in June 1976 and that it is a UK bike. It is in good condition but it is not mint so I do recommend that you come to see it.
I will list the main points below:
Genuine Yamaha XT500C - Built June 1976
Only 2 former owners
It has 1802 mile on the speedo (unfortunately I can't confirm if this is genuine or not)
I have 2x official Yamaha UK letters confirming that this XT500C was manufactured in June 1976 and that it is a UK bike. However, someone has replaced the headlight and footpegs at some stage with euro spec ones.
It comes with an XT500 ELITE certificate no 572 from the General Manager in Japan (see picture).
It comes with a very rare XT500 ELITE motorcycle patch (see pictures)
It comes with a very rare XT500 ELITE transfer that has never been fitted. You can get reproduction ones of these but this one does look genuine. (see picture)
It comes with the rare, genuine and correct to frame number XT500C Service Manual AND Supplementary manual!
There is no MOT or tax as they are not required any longer
New 6v battery fitted (this is a 6v bike as it should be)
Original exhaust fitted and sounds wonderful - exactly as it should
V5 is to hand and in my name as I have owned it since August 2014
Comes with 2 ignition keys
This XT500C is not mint (7.5/10) so if you are looking for one then it would need some investment to make it so. However, as this bike is so rare it would definitely be worth it as you will be hard pressed to find another one. The very first ICONIC bikes are always the most sought after and more valuable - XT500's are part of Yamaha motorcycling history in all fairness.
Please note that I will only accept payment by cash or BACS bank
