1970 Ford Capri - immaculate condition for summer! For Sale
Immaculate early 1970 Capri 1600 from April of the first year of production.
A very early Halewood-built example, this Capri has been the subject of a painstaking restoration where originality was key, and as a result it both looks and drives superbly. Not a spot of rust anywhere and nothing to be done – ready for the summer show season or to be driven and enjoyed.
The body has been repainted in its original shade of blue, and the interior is also all original and blue. The only deviation from perfect in the whole car are two small cracks in the dashboard and a slight pitting to the chrome trim on the inside of the doors – in this case, we felt that the originality of the interior components justified their fitment, but this is all that would need doing to bring the car to true concours condition.
The engine bay and wiring loom stickers are in the factory specification and the original Kent engine and four-speed manual gearbox are matching numbers. We believe that the 30,595 miles showing on the odometer is correct (although can’t confirm) and the car has just had a fresh MOT.
This is as close as is possible to buying a brand new 1970 Capri in 2019, and its ready to be enjoyed!
