This Mk 3 Cooper S in correct monotone bronze yellow was built according to Heritage documentation on 22nd April 1971 is a well known car in club circles and featured in Mini Magazine March 2004 (cover car) and Cooper World (Mini Cooper Register magazine).
The original engine AEG312 block rebuilt to 1340cc with Omega pistons and big valve Downton polished and ported cylinder head. Rebuilt twin HS4 1.5in SU’s with K&N’s, Maniflow freeflow and RC40 exhaust. Rolling road tuned (102bhp @ 5250 rpm).
Suspension is hydrolastic with KYB gas shocks upfront and negative camber front bottom arms and rear brackets. Wheels are very rare refurbished Firestone Alcans with new Yokohama 008’s although the original 4.5in steels are available.
The interior is original and standard featuring standard navy vinyl seats and correct mk3 steering wheel and new navy moulded Newton Commercial carpets
