Modified 2000 Vauxhall Corsa B 3.0 V6 Sleeper For Sale
Modified 2000 Vauxhall Corsa B 3.0 V6 (X30XE) Converted Sleeper 2 Door Welcome to my listing for my V6 Corsa B. Converted by the previous owner, and starting life as a 2 door non-sunroof 1.0 Envoy model, this Corsa has been fitted with the rare 3.0 V6 (X30XE) from the early Vauxhall Omega' so instead of the 54 bhp from factory it now makes in excess of 200 bhp which as you can imagine goes really well in such a light car! The engine pulls very strongly throughout the entire rev range and certainly surprises a lot of people. Still registered as a 1 litre, up to the new owner to change. This car has benefited from a number of upgrades which should push the standard power of the X30XE engine well over 200 bhp, including: ported and polished heads (I'm told done by Courtenay sport), reprofiled cams, lapped & skimmed valves, power crazy tubular manifold (very difficult to find piece). The engine is mated to an F20 gearbox with F18 final drive and 5th gear which keeps the revs nice and low when just cruising along. It has the standard XE clutch which has only done around 3k miles and standard flywheel. To cope with the extra power, it has a solid alloy rear mount and the rear engine mount is braced so there's no twisting. The exhaust is a 2.25 inch system with a vectra midbox making it nice and quiet for normal driving as well as a subtle downward facing tip. The suspension has been uprated with the front being fully polybushed, with Spax RSX coilovers (damper adjust seized set to medium), uprated springs 280, and the rear has FK coilovers fitted. It has recently been fitted with 256mm brembo brakes which provides plenty enough stopping power. Just before I bought it, it had the following work done: new headgaskets, cambelt & water pump, brake fluid flushed and replaced. Other additions include: TX auto sport radiator to keep everything cool, uprated fan with switch on dash (so never overheats), walbro 255 lph in tank pump, uprated HID bulbs with ballast which are nice and bright, earlier phase 1 bumpers. The interior has GSI front and rear seats which are in very good condition, front GSI door cards, GSI steering wheel (bit of wear on the top), and GSI clocks - the speedo does not work however and are mechanically driven via a speedo cable which tends to be a weak point with converted Corsa B's so I use a digital GPS speedo (plugged in via cigarette lighter) stuck to the dash so you still know how fast you're going, it also keeps a log of how many miles have been driven. The bodywork is in great condition overall with no rust, the paintwork is also all very good, underneath is also in excellent condition. The wheels are 15" Masitaly alloys with 195 tyres, tread is generally good but driver side rear has wear on outer edge, if I was keeping it I would probably change this with either wide steel wheels in keeping with the sleeper look or different alloys such as speedlines/softstars which are common on these. Only bad points really are age related marks such as a couple of dents on the bodywork, no radio fitted, doesn't come with any paperwork as such however I do have the V5, and the clutch release bearing is a bit noisy but has not gotten any worse during mine or the previous owner's time with it. With this in mind, I'm sure that the new owner will be as pleased as I am with it, it's been great fun but it's just not getting used as much as it perhaps should as I've only done just over 1000 miles in it this year. As with all my cars, I use Tesco Momentum (99 RON), fully synthetic oil when needed and have just polished/waxed the outside. I will include some spare parts from when I bought the car such as cams, covers, headlights, bulbs, clocks, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try my best to answer them. Thanks for looking.
