1955 Talbot 'Rootes' Sunbeam 90 MKIII
Winner of the 1955 Monte Carlo Rally
Beautiful car. Sweeping front, port holes, sunroof, two tone green.
Boot with original tool rack shelf in place with original tools inside including jack.
Original interior leather, driver seat shows wear from use and she smells of that beautiful old car and leather.
2.3 litre powerful engine and she happily drives over 55mpg and on the motorway she wants to go a lot more and happy at 70! 4 gears. Column change. Brakes good. Clutch good.
Chrome good. 4 New tyres. New exhaust and box. New coil, points, condenser and sparks. New wipers. Lights and electrics ok.
Will come with hoses and inline fuel filters x 2, which I haven't fitted as yet.
Suicide doors. Classic shape which gets a lot of attention when on the road and parked up.
1 set of keys. Sliding sunroof. Lovely headliner condition. Internal deco clock not working maybe just a fuse needed. Comes with cooler/heater which would have been an optional extra. Comes with some original paperwork etc and owners club letters.
Regularly driven since driving back after being purchased last year. Reason for sale.. I now need a towing car.
Hoses will need replacing in engine bay as they are old. Body good, paint thinning in minor places like edges and she shines. Previous owner light scratches near back driver side. First and reverse gears clicking noise, probably slight cog issue but doesnt alter driving. Wheel hub caps used, but replacements available easily if needed. Wheels themselves very good and powder coated green. As with all old cars she can be updated and refreshed. A good rally or show car.
Location near Porthleven, Cornwall, TR13 9DU.
If you require her transported we are happy to accommodate with times etc and maybe even get quotes for you.
Any questions are welcomed which will be answered and published.
