Receipts of all the work carried out and prior to my ownership.
This car has won multiple awards, was in Performance VW magazine but featured in previous ownership a few years ago. Finding one this original and this condition are rare nowadays. Could easily be put back to standard and used for concourse. Be sad to see it go but it’s time to step away from vw and have something for fast road/ track use.
•Bare metal, windows out respray by lou’s Autobody about 2 years ago - tonnes of photos of the work carried out if you want to see.
•Painted it’s original platinum metallic
•Rear wiper and aerial deleted, already was when I got the car
•All the bumpers, grill, badges, chrome trim, door handles, bronze tinted glass, •window rubbers and lights are all original
•Few stone chips now but it isn’t a TRAILER QUEEN!
•Professionally Chassis notched both sides
•Series1suspension ball joint extenders and tie rod flip kit
•KW V1 coilovers - quite a harsh ride as it sits very low - helpers out but I do have them still
•New tie rod ends
•New Cv joints
•tracking - hunter alignment all done at tyresmart very recently
•underneath usual condition, scrapes on it as it’s static but solid unlike most mk1 sciroccos
•engine bay has been repainted in the past it’s presentable but not perfect
•underside of the bonnet was painted when I had the car painted also
•1.8 8v engine from a mk2 Scirocco which has been rebuilt by Lee at Autoshack.
•it has had the head skimmed, new head set bolts, gasket set, big end set, coolant pipes, electronic ignition, cam/timing belts, pulleys, radiator, spark plugs, leads, ignition coil. Block,head and rocker cover painted.
•Covered around the 2000 mile mark since the full rebuild
•Gearbox is a 4+E box nice for cruising on the motorway and not revving it’s guts off
•all new gear linkage rubbers and gaiters
•battery isolation unit installed for security and prevents the battery going flat as the in car clock drains it slowly
•fires up nicely even if it’s been sat a while
•Standard Weber carb - manual choke
•Fully set up at Rally Tec
•Running checks, timing at idle, check emissions, air/fuel mixture
•Custom made stainless system made by pipecraft
•Exhaust manifold 4-2-1 stainless
•Standard mk1 brake setup
•Just had a new master cylinder put on
•New fluid and brakes bled and a general overhaul, carried out at Autoshack
•Rear brakes adjusted to
•New discs and pads about 2 years ago but have loads of life due to covering hardly any miles.
•exactly how it left the factory
•no seat/door card wear of any kind just sun faded
* dashboard has a few cracks in it, common on a series 1, all the lights work, buttons work inside
* Radio works but has no speakers in the car, equaliser doesn’t work someone had wrecked the wires.
* All trim present same goes with the boot trim all there
• 16 inch Renault Megane steel wheels
• tyres are Nankang 165/40/16 covered about 1500 miles
Ride height can be raised up if requested on purchase
