This 1957 LHD MGA Roadster has been developed and expensively prepared for USA Vintage racing and has raced at many North American circuits such as Lime Rock, Watkins Glen and Road America Elkhart Lake with great success. It has an amazingly rust free body shell and has never been damaged. The chassis has been correctly built for the US historic scene and could be used for many UK and European race series.. The car is in excellent condition and ideal for MG club racing in the UK.
The engine is an all steel 1650cc full race unit with a race cam, 2 x 1" 3/42 inch SUs, with a tubular exhaust manifold, competion clutch and helical gearbox, all in excellent condition. The car has a very expensive cast triple master cylinder set up, an alloy radiator, fuel pressure guage and alternator. As expected the suspension has been lowered with the correct springs and rollbar. The rear axle is fitted with an LSD. The car also has a Kirky alloy race seat, race belts, roll cage, plumbed in fire extinguisher and a full foam filled fuel cell with twin pumps.
The ideal start up race car that would, with little modification and recommisionng, be ideal for a number of series in the UK. Would also make a super hill climb/sprint car. All taxes paid and will be registered in the UK.
At £17500, what a cheap way to go motor racing with very litle outlay.
Part exchange considered funds either way.
