Due to a house move (to a new place without a garage!)along with others, I am having to move on my Suzuki GT250B project.
Its a non-running UK bike, purchased privately early last year from a chap who had it tucked away at the back of his shed but wasn't planning to do anything with it in the short term. I made him an offer and it came home.
Its been consigned to the garage since that time awaiting recommission/repair work, but I never got round to even starting it, and now sadly time has run out.
I swapped the tank and panels over to a set off a 250A which I had and preferred the colour of. When the bike arrived, the original fuel pipes were rotten and the original tank leaked due to the braze separating which holds the female fuel tap locating screw thread in place - this will need a re-braze to allow the original tank/fuel tap to be used.
Only other point I would make is the centre stand - it works, but doesn't seem/feel the same as the 250M I had. Worn bushes, perhaps, or maybe that's how they are/were?
There's also 5 exhaust pipes and some baffles, plus the originally supplied refinished tank and panels, all included in the price.
I was thinking of breaking it, but there might just be someone out there who wants to bring it back to life.
If that someone is you, then give me a call and come and see. First person with the required cash and a trailer or van can take it away. V5 is here and in my name.
Study the photos carefully so that you know what you're buying - its a fact, but photos always make a bike look better. I'll also do a short walk-round video which will be made available to serious enquirers.
With the last two bikes I've sold recently, I've had lots of problems with would-be buyers, tyre kickers and chancers, so this is pretty much a no-haggle, cash-only price.
Bike and parts will be sold as seen and inspected, with no guarantees or refund offered on any of it.
