We always have a selection of Classic Cars available and we pride ourselves on offering a friendly service with objective advice. We also offer full garage services ranging from a service to a full restoration. Our full details can be found on our website and we are always happy to discuss your requirements. We are very pleased to offer an absolutely stunning example of a 1960 Austin A40 Farina. This is an early Mk1 example finished in an off white, light grey with a contrasting Red interior and it has amazingly only covered 39k in nearly 60 years with only two previous keepers. It is accompanied with a full and comprehensive history folder including its original bill of sale and it has been a local car all its life. It is also accompanied with its original owners handbook, drivers handbook and service book which has stamps all the way to back to 1960 and MOT certificates dating back to the mid 1960s. the provenance with this matching numbers A40 is fantastic and its very rare to find an example with such a concise history. This A40 was driven locally until 1993 and then it was dry stored until 2013 and it has covered minimal mileage in that time which is testament to its wonderful condition and originality. It has recently undergone a professional body renovation and it now looks amazing and is ready to be driven, enjoyed and could easily be displayed at any show and it represents a fantastic entry into the wonderful Classic car scene. On the road this A40 is a real joy to drive. The low mileage engine has been fully serviced by us, tuned and timed and it fires instantly and provides a good turn of speed. The gearbox is very precise and the brakes are also effective, the 948cc engine is quite happy at cruising speeds and the ride is supple and firm, it has the feel of a Classic ready to drive anywhere. It has also recently had five new tyres. The interior is wonderfully preserved a testament to its low mileage and easy life and its all original right down to the rubber floor matts, seats and roof liner and the wonderful and functional dash is also very well presented with all its original and functional switch gear, it really has a time warp feel about it. As you can see from the images, the same can be said inside the boot, it has its original boot board, original boot floor, tool kit and tyre pump. the engine bay is completely original and is wearing its years well. This A40 also has a very solid shell with body coloured floor pans and boot floor. The paintwork is finished to a high standard and it really does get lots of attention out on the open road and rightly so. The chromework is all original and does have patina. The panel gaps and shut lines are as good as it was when it was new. This is a rare oppurtunity to own a very low mileage matching numbers example and I am sure its new keeper will enjoy driving it as much as I do. It is of course MOT and Tax exempt, a new MOT can be supplied on sale if required. Viewings are welcome and I am happy to answer questions you may have either through here or on 07752414395 or 01425 839617 (Paul) A delivery service is also available. We have recently teamed up with Pegasus finance, helping you to spread the cost of your Classic. The easy to use link is on our website.
