This is the 765 R, arguably the best of all the 765s as a road bike, offering a significantly higher mechanical specification over the ‘S’ in terms of suspension, brakes, engine power and having the gorgeous 5? TFT instrument panel, whilst not giving away anything of particular significance to the range topping RS model.
It’s quite superb specification includes a revised and re-mapped motor to give 118ps, fully adjustable Showa 41mm separate function big piston (SF-BPF) USD forks, fully adjustable Showa piggyback reservoir rear mono shock, 310mm floating front discs with Brembo M4.32 calipers, 220mm rear disc with Brembo caliper, Slip and assist clutch, Aluminium beam twinspar front frame assembly with high pressure die cast two piece rear frame assembly, Cast aluminium wheels, Full colour 5? TFT instrument panel with adjustable angle and switchable display, Comprehensive switchgear with 5 way adjustable joystick, Selectable rider modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Rider Configurable, Switchable Traction Control and Electronic ABS.
This particular bike also has some expensive and desirable options fitted, including the ‘must have’ Triumph Genuine Accessories Carbon tipped Arrow exhaust, in addition to Triumph Genuine Accessories engine case protectors, Triumph Genuine Accessories engine protection bars, Triumph Genuine Accessories tail tidy and an SMoto radiator guard.
Dynamically these are an incredible little bike, properly quick with handling and agility up there with the very best. There really isn’t much that will go through set of twisty bends quicker, and the 765 Triple is a motor of immense character, all the time emitting it’s characteristic wail, suitably enhanced in this case by the Arrow ‘pipe,
