What a sad sad day. Boris the Bedford needs a new home, OR I NEED TO BURY THE WIFE! As you can see he has been lovingly restored with the cab being shot blasted, anything that was slightly rotten was cut out with new patches welded in, then it was professionally sprayed.
All of the box has been rebuilt and again anything that was rotten was replaced. Both oak side rails were replaced as these were beyond salvage, the same with the T&G boards, these had to be matched and replaced. The roof was sanded back to bare and any repairs were carried out. I even had a Mold Made of the front end just incase it was ever damaged. The roof was then painted with two pack marine paint.
The Inside has been stripped, the floor had to be replaced in areas. The horsebox interior was stripped as everything was pretty rotten. The metal frame that holds the roof was stripped and painted along with the rear main frame.
The engine is petrol and runs really well (I drove Boris back from Brighton, slowly)
Boris would make a really lovely glamping wagon, or a daily drive.
If you want to see more of a history and whats been done with Boris he has his own FB Page Boris The Bedford - details above
