1958 Twin Cam YD3 585, (reg 474 UYM) originally exported to the USA and then brought back to the UK by Bob West in 1990. Known history from 1960s, documented by the MGA Twin Cam register
The car underwent a complete chassis up restoration by the Chairman of the MGA Twin Cam Group which was completed in 2016. This included a newly rebuilt, 5 bearing, 1900cc twin cam engine, chassis alignment check, new body panels, wiring, brakes, suspension, paintwork and weather equipment... all the work completed by the best people.
Since then, the car has done very little mileage and is in exceptional condition. It drives superbly on the road and recently attended the 60th anniversary of the Twin Cam launch at the Chobham Test Track, where it performed effortlessly on its track circuits.
This is a car which has a startling performance and puts a smile on everyone’s face. It is much admired wherever it goes. It is for sale with much regret by its present owner.
This is my MGA MK1 1956 ROADSTER restoration project, it is in London and has come from the good old USA and is a restoration project ...it has fibreglass wings which I guess are for making it lighter,.....
