Entering production on Monday the 18th May 1998, the car was completed 12 days later. Finished in Grigio Titanio with Bordeaux hide and black carpets. The car was transported to Ferrari UK-one of just 457 of which 368 currently remain in the UK and of which just 72 are finished in grey-and in turn to the then Gloucestershire Ferrari agents MHT, where the pre delivery inspection was carried out on the 3rd July 1998. First registered SBT 1 to 39-year company director Mr S T of Gloucestershire on the 3rd July 1998 and the two-year Ferrari warranty. The then list price was (1st April 1998) was £149,700.88 plus delivery, number plates and road tax.
Bought by businessman and entrepreneur ,55-year old, Mr P S on the 12th September 2000 with circa 8,000 miles once again from MHT.
Passing, just over twelve months later, to 52-year-old company director Mr J D of Dorset, who bought the car from London Ferrari agents HR Owen-unconfirmed-on the 14th May 2001 with 12,000 miles. A little over three years later the car changed ownership to Mr A B of Lancashire on the 1st June 2004 with some 37,000 miles from the then Ferrari agents, Stratstone -unconfirmed.
The fifth and penultimate owner, Mr G R of North Wales bought the car on the 15th July 2005 with 39,545 miles from Bob Houghton. Bob Houghton and then latterly AE Performance maintained the car for Mr R including replacing the clutch in August 2008 at 41,953 miles and the speedometer head at 44,238 miles on the 23rd August 2013 -the old unit is still with the car.
Following an independent road test and report by the respected marque specialist John Pogson’s Auto Italia, the car was purchased by the last owner 46-year company director, Mr M S of West Yorkshire on the 7th November 2014 with 44,000 miles, joining a Ferrari 456 M GTA and a 308 GT4.
The factory original service book with 23 service stamps-12 with MHT/Bob Houghton- and 17 MOT’s document the 50,500 miles from new and has its full complement of handbooks and leather wallet, keys including the red immobiliser.
