Although having a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140, the XK150 was radically modernized. A one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen, and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The alloy bonnet was widened and opened down to the wings. In the interior, the XK140's walnut dashboard was replaced by an elegantly leather trimmed dash. Thinner doors gave the interior needed space as well. Four-wheel Dunlop 12 in. Disc-Brakes appeared for the first time. A formidable precursor to the E-Type.

Chassis S DN was built October 21, 1960 and dispatched on the 28th of that month, as a U. S. specification “3. 8 Litre LHD, FHC” through Jaguar Cars, New York - finished in British Racing Green paint over Beige leather upholstery.

- The "S" prefix in the chassis number confirms that it left the factory outfitted with the Special Equipment package, comprised of the B Type cylinder head with 9:1 compression, wire spoke wheels and dual exhaust pipes. The "DN" suffix to the chassis number denotes the optional overdrive fitted to the standard transmission. All delivery information is confirmed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

- The XK150 was sold new to Mr. Hugh A. McDonald, a U. S. Army Officer from South Carolina. He would eventually be stationed in Europe in the late 1960s, having the car shipped over with him for a time before resettling in northwest Illinois in 1969. The following year the car was sold to a Mr. Ron Guthrie of Rock Island, IL, who would enjoy ownership of the car for more than 26 years.

- In addition to consistent maintenance throughout his stewardship, Mr. Guthrie commissioned cosmetic refurbishment as necessary, having the car repainted in the original color at some point in the 1990s, along with new Wilton wool carpets, leather seat covers and a new headliner installed, all purchased on one of his trips to England.

- He also purchased new wire wheels with stainless steel spokes and nipples, as well as new splined hubs and knock-offs.

- In 1997, with the car having accrued slightly more than 68k miles, Mr. Guthrie sold it to a Mr. Frank Ege of Moline, IL. During his ownership, Mr. Ege commissioned a number of mechanical refurbishments and improvements – all of which are recorded in the vehicle's dossier. Mr. Ege would accumulate roughly 8, 500 additional miles on the car during his seven years of ownership before selling it in 2004 to a Mr. Roger Warren of Fort Collins, CO, where it would remain in his collection for the ensuing twelve years.

- It was then acquired by its most recent caretaker Mr. Gordon of Dallas, Texas. Gordon later commissioned further upkeep services, including R&R to the front steering and bearings, upholstery work, engine reseal, transmission rebuild, R&R radiator, differential reseal, driveshaft u-joints, alignment, battery, fluids and regular tune-ups.

- Now displaying just over 78, 000 original miles, the XK150 has never been fully restored, but rather refurbished as necessary and lovingly maintained with an unusually solid body, frame and undercarriage. Its correct BRG paint is glossy with minor chips and imperfections from use - upon close inspection, complemented by tidy beige upholstery – both well suited for continued touring or casual display.

- The body is straight with consistent panel fit and gaps, while retaining many original bits throughout the vehicle.

-The Jaguar's frame, rocker panels and undercarriage remain in excellent original condition. Preservation mirrored in the luggage and engine compartments; that of thoughtful lifelong care.

- Spot welds can be seen throughout the vehicle, including the luggage compartment, which displays factory crayon markings () trunk mat.

- Emergency contained within, includes a tool kit, Thor hammer, spanner, t-key, jack, wrench, grease gun and matching spare assembly.

- Visually striking, this XK150 excels with its outstanding drivability and mechanical prowess, while spacious enough for distance rallies, with the benefit of overdrive. In our experience, the Coupe handles city, freeway, and country driving with ease – capable of keeping pace with modern traffic and intense Texas heat.

- Period style Lucas fog lamp and leather bonnet strap (custom made by an English saddle maker) complete the traditional look.

- In addition to emergency equipment and record file, the Coupe is complete with Owner's manual and charts, two sets of keys, custom artwork, Service manual, vintage radio and accessories, trickle charger, and Philip Porter XK Book.

- Early sporting Jaguars command attention with their strikingly elegant lines and fierce performance.

- This XK150 is no exception and great opportunity to acquire the most refined variant of the XK100 class, while checking all of the desirability boxes.

-Now available from our USA showroom for worldwide purchase and delivery.
