Now for sale is this beautiful Ducati 900 Super Sport Special; built by Made In Italy Motorcycles from the UK. It was specially built for business-owner John in 2013 and has less than 2500 miles covered since. It was featured in several magazines.
It was first registered 1972 with a Ducati 750 Sport frame number (751180) and was built very much to be used. It has fantastic specifications which includes a fully rebuilt 900 Super Sport specification engine (number 852762) with gas flowed cylinder heads, new valves, valve guides, genuine Borgo 900 Super Sport pistons, Lacey con-rod assembly, Surflex clutch, choke operated PHM 40mm Dell’Orto carburettors, Kokusan ignition system.
The frame is an original 900 Super Sport item, restamped with the 1972 750 Sport number. Rear shocks are IKON, the front forks are the very rare centre axle Lockheed mounting items, calipers are rebuilt original Lockheeds, discs are fully floating cast iron Brembo items with the centres re-anodised, rear caliper is a shaved Brembo P08.
All fibreglass was new with a smaller than standard headlight from a Pantah and matching fairing aperture. It further has a very nice aluminium ‘Imola’ fuel tank, Borrani rims laced up with stainless spokes to original Super Sport hubs, TT2-style adjustable foot controls, Veglia instruments and dashboard, stainless steel chain guard and a ceramic coated two-into-one exhaust system.
It was recently serviced by Back to Classics and has new Dunlop tyres fitted. A very nice and good bike for you to jump on and drive off!
