This is a unique 1951 Austin k8VA flatbed truck that has been fitted with a demountable caravenette body.
It is fitted with an Austin 2.2 petrol engine.
The vehicle was completely restored in 1998/99 including being stripped back to the bare chassis, all corrosion removed and the engine overhauled. New brakes, steering and suspension fitted. New flatbed floor fitted.
At this time a cattle float was fabricated and interior was finished with sleeping quarters for 3. Includes gas stove, fridge, sink, toilet and 12v power. This body is easily removed.
Tax & MOT exempt.
This vehicle has been well known on the Scottish classic car show scene over the past 20 years and has featured in a number of classic vehicles publications. It has also appeared in a number of major film & TV productions.

The Austin Gipsy Bodies were built and trimmed by Fisher & Ludlow, when finished the Final Painted and Trimmed Bodies were transported to Adderley Park in Birmingham for final assembly. The British Heritage Trust Factory Record confirms this Gipsy was built on the 19th of June 1964 and despatched to an Austin Dealer on
