For sale is my 2.9 Cosworth BOA swapped capri. The conversion itself has been done to a very high standard(previous owner was an air craft engineer who carried out the conversion). No expense has been spared on this car and it really does show!
I have owned the car just over 2 and half years and have truly enjoyed every moment of it. In my ownership the car has had a full bare metal paint respray costing around £3400(I have photos from start to finish showing the progress) I can also put you in touch with the bodyshop who carried out the respray and they can confirm this, Car has been painted in Rosso Red which looks fantastic and I honestly can't take this car out anywhere without getting stopped and people admiring the car for what it is! Last year I replaced all 4 tyres. The car has also in the last 200 miles had a full service which included the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and 6 new spark plugs. I have also had the coolant flushed and replaced in the last 100 miles or so. It has a janspeed exhaust system with two tail pipes one either side and sounds absolutely incredible, on tickover and under throttle! Battery has been professionally relocated to the boot using the correct size wires. I have recently installed a vintage/period looking stereo which has bluetooth and aux function. I have just had the steering rack fully refurbished by M and P steering in Kent at a cost of £245. The underside of the car is also polybushed from the rear. Also installed within the last 200 miles or so is a brand new sunroof sill.
This is a very reluctant sale due to me needing to free some funds to put in to my house. There are a few minor bits that I would have done if I did not need to sell and these are:
Power steering could do with either bleeding or possibly a new pump as the steering has gone heavy once I fitted the new refurbished rack so not entirely sure as to what that could be just being totally honest!
Wheels could do with a refurb if your being really fussy!
Will need a set of pads and discs on the front as slight judder when braking sometimes causing me to think the disc could be warped.
I have the full V5 in my name, around 11 months Mot. The Capri is still registered as a 1.6 so I will leave this down to the new owner to change on the v5 if they wish to.
I have the car listed elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any more information or would like to view.
