1977 Renault 5 Alpine Coppa (Coupe) For Sale

Renault 5 Alpine Coupe Year 1977 Starting from 1977, the Renault 5 Elf Italian Cup competed with the R 5 Alpine. The Renault 5 Alpine Coupe available in a limited number of models is sold only to drivers. It differs from the standard version for the disc brakes at the rear instead of the drums. The Coupe has also improved the gearbox with new ratios and a shorter couple. Other improvements include steering wheel with lower scaling and braking system with the adoption of self-ventilated discs at front. The front suspension retains the original components except the Bilstein racing shock-absorber with increased torsion bars, increased stabilizer bar and larger diameter brake discs. The rear suspension also has increased torsion bars and stabilizer bars with Bilstein racing shock absorbers. Particular attention was paid to the chassis with the adoption of more rigid gear box and engine support-mount. In addition, the wheels have the peculiarity of having the same design as standard, but the spacing of the fixing holes is different and like those where adapted to the racing Alpine and the Gordini. Different is also the interior design with the adoption of the racing seat. The car for sale belonged to driver Rodolfo Aguzzoni who competed in 1977 on Italian circuits. It was subsequently purchased by the same Team Terrosi who had taken care of the preparation and the assistance. In the 80's, after finishing its competitive career, the car was occasionally used and preserved in its original state. It is my property since 2004. The car maintains the interior trim with the original Rollbar of the era and the characteristic racing seats that originally were only one. The electrical system has been completely reconstructed with a dashboard that features the 80's typical changes but its original is present. The mechanics are maintained efficiently with periodic maintenance and all the features of the era are present. In November 2016, the Italian magazine Automobilismo d'Epoca published a large article on this car and its race sisters: R 5 Alpine Turbo Cup and R 5 Alpine Group 2..
