1972 MGB Roadster For Sale

This 1972 MGB roadster looks very handsome in Teal blue, perfectly complimented by a new navy blue Mohair hood and Minilite style alloys. The body is in excellent shape after a comprehensive professional restoration in 1994. They obviously did a good job as it still looks really good 25 years later. There is an extensive history file of invoices, parts bills and MOTs dating back over 30 years which is fascinating reading and really gives the car an identity - I'm sure it could tell some stories! It would seem that in particular one owner during the 80s and 90s really secured her future with numerous invoices for parts, maintenance and restoration work. This included a new lead free engine fitted in 1999 which is still performing very well. There's a lovely sporty rasp from the exhaust and plenty of torque from 1800cc, helped along with K&N air filters and Lumenition electronic ignition. A new speedometer was fitted in 1997 and the current mileage shows 21300 miles which supports the engine's good health. Inside there are recently re-trimmed seats in the original style, black carpets, tasteful wood effect dash trim, a CD radio and a wood rim steering wheel. It's easy to get in an out of, comfortable and easy to drive with no rattles or squeaks - just what you would expect from a good MGB with its solid body construction. Recent maintenance includes an overhaul of the front and rear suspension and new Yokohama tyres, as well as numerous other smaller jobs to really bring her up to scratch. Unfortunately the opportunities for the owner to use the car have not been as regular as desired and so he has regretfully decided to sell. It is for sale on his behalf and with a very sensible price I'm sure it won't hang around long. I am happy to answer any questions about the car from genuine buyers and I would encourage viewing and a test drive. Please contact me for genuine inquiries only. Of course being 46 years old it is both MOT and Tax exempt, however it can come with a fresh MOT for your reassurance.
