Triumph Vitesse 2 Litre Mark II Convertible 1970

This is a lovely example of the ever-popular Triumph Vitesse. It is a factory fitted convertible with factory fitted overdrive which works fine.
The car is MOT'ed till July 2020 it had two minor advisories, front tyre close to legal limit and small amount of play on one bearing – greasing will probably solve this.
Current mileage is 69,050

Obviously, the car is exempt from road tax.

The car is in good order looks great and the engine sounds fantastic, it has a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate.
The hood is also in great order and it doesn't take long to whip the hood down and prepare the car for a sunny day out.
Time-line of work undertaken;
1997 New Back Axle
2004 Recon Gearbox
2005 Engine rebuild by Southern Triumph Services – only 10, 427 miles covered since rebuild
2006 New Hood, new panels and respray
2016 New Brake Callipers and Rubbers plus servo
2018 Front seats re-foamed
Bad points;
Some body alignment gaps
Back seat’s a bit tatty
Carpets ok but could be better.
Radio does not work
Can sometimes “run on” after a long drive

Quite a few spares will also be included in the sale.
Bear in mind that this is a 50-year-old car so please no tyre kickers or time wasters.

Remarkably the car didn't get any advisories from the last MOT. Obviously the car is exempt from road tax.

One of the rarest LHD models Triumph ever produced.
