Honda CB750F1 1978 22,273 genuine miles uk bike owned by me for 33 years
I have owned this CB750F1 for over 33 years, been part of the family, but need to move on and let someone else appreciate it. Its both an appreciating asset and investment.
Sympathetically maintained, renovated and restored over later years of ownership.
I never intended it to be a show bike but its almost immaculate, it draws lots of attention. Ideal for a collection, display piece, or enthusiast investment., too good for regular riding in my opinion.
I’m a trained mechanic and Chartered Mechanical Engineer, so I might be being a bit picky my descriptions, please bear this in mind, as in reality it’s probably one of the lowest mileage and best genuine examples available.
It’s been properly dry stored entire ownership, not used for years, and not seen rain in 33 years. Just re commissioned, oil brake fluids etc, new battery. Please genuine serious enquirers only.
Some brief description, much more available by request:-
Nearly all chrome parts replaced or re plated ,not due to rust , just dulling, aging of chrome, think chain guard is one of few items of original chrome.
New original full Honda HM392 exhaust, around 500 miles ago, still immaculate, Bought new old stock when no longer available through Honda (vast expense, and rare, valuable, unavailable part now).
Wheels:- stainless spokes, hubs vapour blasted, original rims re chromed, new bearings, this and some other work, other parts, by world renowned and CB750 Guru John Wyatt (see his book ) of Rising Sun Restorations.
Tank and seat base paint matched to original, very high quality paint finish. Frame and swing arm, not powder coated but re painted matching original finish , super durable. but authentic looking finish. New complete seat, forks re sealed, lowers polished
Engine not re built, as fine, with genuine low miles, numerous small parts and some fasteners replaced.
That’s a brief summary, for genuine interested enthusiasts, more details, photos by e mail .
If you’ve got this far you probably don’t need me to say , but the F1’s are great versions of the CB750, great to ride, I love the looks. They don’t fetch as much as early CB750s , but good ones now very rare. Genuine enquirers only please at £4450
