No.246 out of 250, the original 1200 Daytona went out of production in 1997 but Hinckley probably had some Daytona bits left over, including the fantastic SuperIII Alcon 6-pot front brake calipers. Not surprisingly as they were an after-market option listed at £800 for the Mk1 Speed Triple etc. Otherwise the "Special Edition" bikes are similar to the original 1200 Daytona with 147bhp but black and gold colour scheme. The rear sub-frame was strengthened and there are other small changes that make it easy to check that it really is an SE. This can also be confirmed via the TOMCC registrar with the frame number SMTTC354CRX071678. The engine number is 071825, just for interest. This particular bike has never seen rain. Some mileage history: 7,500 in 2007, 7,905 in 2012 and 7,960 in 2015. Purchased new from Len Manchester Ltd on 1st March 1999 by the guy I purchased it from on 24th August 2018. The bike comes with all history, service receipts, book pack and toolkit. MOT booked for Saturday 21st September.
