1966 Sunbeam TigerMk1A Unique,Rare and Original ! ! For Sale
Having owned this beautiful beast for the past 7yrs personal circumstances suggest that I have to offer my beloved Tiger for sale.
I purchased the car through a recommendation from the Tiger owners club,at the time I didn't realise what a great car the Tiger is and how fortunate I was to purchase arguably one of,if not the best of the 30 or so original RHD UK supplied and possibly only 22 now in existance, adding to this is it is one of only two known to be produced in Embassy black with the correct paint code 1.
The car was built by Jensen on the 20/12/65 and delivered originally to Guernsey for the island deputy a Mr Henry Henchman coming back to th mainland in 2003
The car is unrestored with all its original arrow straight panels and never been welded !!it was repainted 12yrs ago and still looks as good today with no evidence of corrosion or deterioration, whilst I have owned it I have had the vinyl seats proffesionaly retrimmed in leather to a high standard with enhanced side bolsters (similar to the Harrington) The car is original mechanically apart from some sensible upgrades inc.
Stainless steel exhaust system
High torque starter motor
Eddelbrook inlet manifold and carburettor
Upgraded aluminium radiator with special engine fan.thermostatically controlled electric fan. This all means that it idles forever in hot weather and traffic never exceeding 85deg.
The car drives and handles superbly ,there is a large history file going back to the early seventies, original handbook and two sets of keys.
There are cars and there are CARS if you believe in buying the best and having a car that wants for nothing , will instantly drive anywhere and win prizes then this car is for you ,if you think you would rather buy a "bargain"and restore it firstly it will end up costing a fortune and secondly originality only comes once.
