MGB Roadster (pull Handle)
Year of manufacture: 1964
Engine size: 1800cc
Former keepers: 5
Purchased: Jan 2017
The car was purchased as an investment in Jan 2017 however within 3 months the paint on the boot began to peel
It appeared that sections of the car had been painted under poor/inadequate conditions leading to the surface paint damage shown in the images. The body panels are still solid though, and the rust is to the most part only surface, having occurred after this the car was put into storage.
The car is turnkey, starts up without any problem and drives well. After being in storage it needed a new front calliper, clutch master cylinder, water pump, thermostat, on the whole this MG is in better mechanical condition than it may appear.
Looking forward the MG is a 1964 pull handle which makes it eligible to be modified into an FIA race car, vastly increasing its value. This is a solid car that would make for a great restoration project or race car conversion.
There is an old roof covering that comes with the vehicle. It would keep the rain out, but is in need of replacement.
There is some history that comes with the vehicle although limited. The last known service was carried out in February 2017 by the current owner, prior to going into storage. The car has not covered more the 10 miles since then.
