I purchased this 1948 Riley RMA from its previous keeper 5 years ago in Southhampton where it had been dry stored for the previous 30 years. Since then I have driven it short distances after fitting a new stainless steel exhaust and replacing spark plugs, points, coil and condenser.

This Riley had been manufactured with an enlarged water pump. I have been told by the previous owner that this is because the car was made for an army general in South africa, who asked for the car to be fitted with a maroon coloured roof instead of the standard black colour.

Currently the Riley is dry stored. The engine turns over, but isn't running at the moment - there is sign of a spark through coil and points but it seems to be weaker to the spark plugs.

The roof and paintwork is showing its age in places, I can provide more photos on request.

The Riley has had two previous keepers. The clock reads 11,140, presumably this could be 111,140.

The car will be sold with a few spare parts in the boot. It is SORN at the moment, but is registered with the DVLA and just needs the tax renewed for free!
