TVR Griffith 500
Body Colour: Halcyon Atlantis Pearlescent Blue.
Seats: Portland Grey
Dashtop: Nimbus Grey
Decal Colour: White Dials
First registered 18th March 2000, with just one previous owner, it was part of a collection in Scotland and supplied by Brandon TVR. I purchased the Griff in 2012 at just 5,760 miles through Fernhurst TVR. It is a very late car, the final year before the end of line SE model was announced. It is in very original and immaculate condition, with no marks on the leather seats, no cracks on the original dash, and even still has the factory fresh smell!
Built with a desirable specification, Halcyon Atlantis Blue over Portland Grey interior, grey wool carpets piped in Portland Grey, Nimbus Grey to dash, all gaitors and door surrounds with Portland Grey inner door panels. Finished with a matching Blue hood.
Other factory options: door ashtrays delete, TVR stitch in headrest, fitted with power steering, ali-pack, 6 stack CD and rear speakers.
All service history, TVR Owners Handbook, spare keys, alarm card, invoices and past MOT certificates all present and correct.
Servicing and maintenance during my ownership has been carried out initially by Fernhurst TVR during warranty period, and then every subsequent year at Elmwood TVR.
-the alloys are 16 inch all round original factory OZ Split Rim wheels, as supplied to the Griffith 500 ‘SE’. They were fully refurbished with new bolts when I purchased the car.
-the head unit has been upgraded to an Alpine CDE-178BT, but the original Pioneer KEH-P4800R is supplied and cd-changer all in place.
-the suspension has been upgraded to Nitron Racing shocks and springs. The original Bilstein suspension is supplied.
-the roof is the Surface and Design latest split panel, fully covered in matching Portland Grey inside, including two custom made padded roof bags. When S&D made the panel in 2014, it was fully trimmed by D&C Trim next door, who at the same time also replaced the rest of the hood/targa, window and rubbers so all material matched.
It is absolutely mint and probably better with all the updates than when it left Blackpool! Hopefully the pictures do it justice, but it must be seen to be appreciated. A well known Griffith in TVR circles, and has attended many Griff Growls, Le Mans Classic and other events. It was displayed last year by TVR Automotive at the London Motor Show 2018, alongside the new Griffith. It has won the Concours at Neil Garner, and the Uncle Fester Memorial Cup at the Griff Growl. I said it was a keeper, but I’m now selling as I have my Sagaris and arrival of a Challenge Car!
Note: the private plate TVR3X and M16YCE are not included in the sale, and will be removed prior to sale. W827 RSF was the original registration, and expected to be reinstated by DVLA.
