1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II DHC by H.J. Mulliner For Sale
Our Silver Cloud II DHC is one of the original 32 RHD versions created by H.J. Mulliner, an original UK-supplied car, it was one of two ordered in 1960 by entrepreneur Max Wilson with every option ticked. These options include power hood, electrically-operated windows and aerial, radio speakers in the rear armrests, and whitewall tyres.
Rolling off the production line late in 1959, this example was ordered by Car Mart ltd on behalf of the South African entrepreneur Max Wilson, who purchased two fully loaded Silver Cloud II models fitted with all available extras including premium options such as electrically-operated windows, aerial, rear armrest mounted radio speakers and whitewall tyres. The Rolls-Royce was later delivered and first registered to ‘Wilson Interests Limited’ in April 1960 complete with H.J Mulliner coachwork.
After remaining in Wilson’s ownership for over 25 years, the Silver Cloud II was believed to be later sold by P.J Fischer Classic Automobiles to a Mr. Theodorovich of Kowloon, Hong Kong, who purchased the limited-edition Silver Cloud II for the sum of £80,000. Theodorovich commissioned P.J Fischer to store and service the vehicle for the next 10+ years at which point the Rolls-Royce was recorded to have been resprayed and finished in White.
In 2011 Mr. Theodorovich had the luxury vehicle exported to his home in Hong Kong, where the Rolls-Royce would begin its long service history with Frank Dale & Stepsons - the history folder holds numerous service and maintenance invoices from this time.
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II was later returned back to the UK in 2017, entering DM Historics ownership. Our in-house restoration team immediately began to restore this 2 former keepers Rolls-Royce with the aim to reinstate the trademark luxurious status of the vehicle and complete the car to a Concours standard. Since arriving at our Kent facility the Silver Cloud has been treated to a cosmetic restoration finishing the car in its original factory colour of Pearl Grey with a beautifully retrimmed red leather interior, grey carpets and matching red power hood.

It comes as no surprise the Rolls-Royce boasts beautifully re-chromed original exterior fittings. The immaculate re-chromed bumpers, over-riders and light surrounds complement the flawless Shell Grey finish.
Our 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II sits on a set of stunning 15” white wall tyres with re-chromed hubcaps and traditional hand painted red pin stripes over the body colour matching centre caps. The car also features a matching spare wheel.
