AEC Routemaster Come see my iconic London bus! For Sale
If you fancy the opportunity of sitting in the cab of Rosie, my iconic, famous London Routemaster bus, taking your picture with friends for a classic album souvenir, you are welcome. Rosie is a rare 1959 Routemaster, as most Routemasters were from the 1960's. Since London is now mainly devoid of the famous Routemaster bus, tourists have been known to visit the Transport Museum in Enfield north London, where I keep Rosie, just to see her. Rosie was a London Transport show bus - the pride of the fleet! Routemasters are still featured on most of the official London souvenirs. Rosie, never modernised, has a 1950's time-warp original interior, still with her original engine and running gear. She is named Rosie after my sister Rosie who was a 'clippie' on the Routemasters - she fell in love with the driver and he proposed to her on the bus. Their little boy's first word was 'bus'! Rosie really is one of the best Routemasters left, a real sweetie, part of my family and a real favourite at classic vehicle shows. She is on display, available to board and photograph on Tuesdays at the museum.
