1972 VW T2 Bay Window Campervan - Red - Project - For Sale

VW Bay Window Campervan 1972 - Red - Project - Not running - Tax exempt Purchase of a new main car is forcing the sale of my VW campervan project. I've had this van sat in a family garage for about 7 years waiting for the day when I had enough money to fix it up to full glory, unfortunately that day never came and instead I have conceded to letting somebody else finish the job. This is a non runner and will need money spent on it to make it road worthy. I am by no means a mechanic and so viewing is essential to see for yourself the work that needs doing. The engine currently installed is not working and will need replacing; I have another engine from a friends camper van which I am willing to include in the sale for an extra cost however I cannot guarantee the condition of this engine. Again, I do not know the full extent of the work that would need to be done either to get this van simply on the road or to fully restore this van, however, I can say that the van is likely to need a new roof or considerable repairs to the current roof, I would also guess that some welding repair work would be necessary on the underside of the van before it is road worthy. There are several areas of rust on the body itself however these aren't necessarily a safety concern and would need to be evaluated by somebody who knows what they're talking about. This is a van that needs some TLC however once you have spent the time on it I am sure it will return many years of camper-vanning adventures! Comes with: Small wooden roof rack that fits at the front of the roof above the driver and passenger seats. Maypole VW campervan breathable cover. Buckets seats in the front. Pioneer stereo and speakers throughout. A homemade solution to transform the rear of the vehicle into a big (rather comfortable) bed. Thanks for looking!
