2000 Rover Mini Cooper Sport *Completely Restored* For Sale
Here we have a late Rover Mini Cooper Sport in the most suitable colour of British Racing Green, with black and silver leather interior.
I bought the car as a usable runner in June last year with a full service history and since then the car has undergone a complete restoration, being finished just a month ago and costing in total almost 20k.
Completely stripped down, all panels replaced and the entire car had a bare metal respray, with a white base layer to lift the BRG colour even more. All new badges, decals, plates. New mirrors. New side repeaters, front indicators, rear lights, front lights, new windscreen, new rubber gaskets etc all round, all brightwork replaced. In fact it's easier to say everything on the exterior has been replaced.
The engine was fully stripped down and rebuilt using all new parts (when MOT'd the tester had never seen a cleaner emissions!), new exhaust.
The gearbox, also stripped down and rebuilt including a new clutch.
New suspension, brake system, sub frames, again it's easier to say it's all new and it drives so, as much as a classic mini can anyway!
The wheels fully refurbished with new tyres, nuts and centre caps.
Inside the seats went away and were completely stripped back and recoloured. New headlining, carpets and mats. All as standard. The only addition is the new Sony DAB head unit that bluetooth links to your phone for hands free calling and streaming music from you phone, the only thing a classic car needs really, there's no ugly DAB aerial anywhere as the standard aerial has been adapted to function as a DAB aerial. I had new stickers produced, the rear dealership sticker is the dealer the car came from originally. A new Rover service sticker in the front window and new stickers under the bonnet.
If you wanted one of these when they were new and missed out, here's your second chance so don't miss out again. Yes the mileage reads 82,000 but that is only the speedo, the rest of the car is new, you could buy one with 10,000 on the speedo but the rest of the car be a victim of age.
This was a passionate restoration of mine and once done was going to be put away and maybe used for shows or special weekends as an investment as they are always increasing in value. But sadly due to a huge change in my circumstances I have instead got to sell now.
Whoever buys this will certainly be pleased and I am confident that the first person who views it will buy it as it's perfect in every way.
