This example, based on a 1990 Rover Mini Studio 2 with the 998cc engine, is a replica of the blue 'Italian Job' Mini from the 1969 film. Purchased by our vendor in December 2015, the car underwent a full rebuild and restoration with 60% all new panels and a bare metal respray in Island Blue on a powder coated subframe, photographs are contained within the history file detailing the works undertaken. Once the body was complete, the car was treated to new Mk. I original size 10" wheels, suspension arms and rubbers, exhaust and brake lines. This example then appeared more authentic and backdated and included a Mk. I grille, bumpers, external hinges, sliding windows, round rear lights, hinged rear number plate, age related private number plates, central three dial binnacle and full Cooper S badging before it was finished with Italian Job triple spot lights and bonnet straps. This is a fabulous backdated and restored example which has clearly had much attention and investment and would prove a great purchase for any Mini or Italian Job fan.
